You can read the original report from which that newspaper article was derived at the Medical Journal of Australia in this ADHD medication report. Living in a world of my own, as I do, it was the first time I’d ever heard of ‘ADHD’. Even though I’ve been a parent for 18 years. And more than half of those years, a full-time stay-at-home dad who has observed hundreds of children at close range on a regular basis - at toddler groups and playgroups, in preschools, primary schools and high schools, in public and social situations and in my own home. In all this time, I’ve never encountered a single child whose behaviour has suggested to me that they could have a brain disease called ‘ADHD’. To this day, I’ve never met an ‘ADHD’ child.
